i used to have the same type of carplay connection issues too. then they just suddenly disappeared oct of last year and never came back. connects fast and reliably. there’s the occasional hiccup but for the most part i think an iOS update fixed it.
also do you have a VPN on your phone...
i find that i frequently trigger teh frunk key on my key fob - i think bc i have it in the same pocket as other items like airpods. happens fairly frequently - i go to back out of a spot and the screen goes red warning me the frunk is open.
i can’t think of any reason i need to open it with...
were you able to drive it at all? i just had it where it would sorta jerk and lurch, and no matter how hard you hit the pedal wouldn’t go faster. but if i left off and hit the pedal again it would go.
at any rate, all they did to fix it was bleed the coolant line. took 3 tries but then it...
i’d like to do a full color changing wrap, but a little confused by the options out there.
first, the problem - have a chalk taycan with black wheels and trim and it looks absolutely killer. HOWEVER, found a great deal on a barely used GLE63S for my wife, but it’s alpine gray with black trim...
I’m at 17K miles and sitting just about at the wear bars (around 5/32, or 4mm).
I have the PZero Elec OEM summer tires. Really no complaints, and that feels like decent wear. I even did a track day at COTA early on.
For replacement, my priorities are
1) Tire Noise
2) Tire Noise
3) Wet...
Yeah, most car companies are bad at this but Porsche is stands out. Still, better than our land rover…
i really wish the car would connect to my home wifi in the garage, the cell signal is so bad it takes forever to connect, when it actually succeeds.
Has anyone else noticed that when you go into Sync mode, it still displays both passenger and driver climate controls now?
before, when in Sync mode, it only showed one temperature control. When you went out of Sync mode, it showed both so you can change independently
now it always shows...
In the same boat. worked for a few days last week then just stopped, despite getting a ‘green dot’ connection from the app and other things updating.
and today it started working again. Seems like a server/service error, not a car thing
I’ve had a 22 4S CT for just over a year now and one of the more annoying aspects is the indeterminant amount of time it would take my phone to connect to the car. sometimes it was fast, sometimes it would take a minute or 2 to finally connect and launch CarPlay.
About 3-4 weeks ago, it’s now...
I find if bang the b pillar and the top of the drivers side door (where it meets bottom of window) the rattling goes away for a while. It’s not consistent enough to take in
anyone try a windshield mount at the bottom center of laying on the dash a bit? front of car drops off quite a bit seems like that should also work? maybe not with insulated glass i suppose
I hear it too on my CT. Sounds like a big exhale, from rear passenger side. Happens a lot tho, while driving down the road in places where it shouldn’t nec be going up and down. Weird
i came here for this. what the heck porsche - how can you mess up the center console like this? Its just really awkward and hard to open while seated, and the fact that it won't stay open is just dumbfounding.
do miss soft close doors.
The My Porsche app does this too. Seems to default to showing the car unlocked and windows open. Once it connects, it corrects itself. “Unintelligent defaults”
I was on the fence too. Really glad i went with chalk, feels a bit more special. White seems pedestrian and “normal” and chalk seems to stand out especially with black trim
sorry for poor lighting
