Yes Porsche did a silent software update without advising the customer of the changes. I had a 2022 charging at 11KW and now at only 9.6KW. This was done also at the same time as the ARB6/7 came out with the cell issues and remote reporting. This was done across US and Canada.
They changed the charging on ALL Taycans (J1.1 with a silent software change) and new ones (J1.2) in summer 2025 (probably also with the same type of software change). On the specification of my new Taycans 2026 it is stated that the charging in AC is at 9.6KW max. It seems to have been done...
Just to be sure... you set the driving in the sport mode as well to "Normal" such as it remains propulsion rather than having both front and back motor always active?
I may have found the reason why it isn't working for me and maybe for you. I request a check of the interior alarm each time I turn off the car as I have a dog who is almost always present and remains many times in the car while we run an errand. This check allows us to turn off or keep on...
I tested both the key and the door and it DOES NOT lock the door if the car hasn’t been turned off. We must press the Off button in the car to lock the door with mine. Not sure why but this must be a Canadian obligation somehow.
If the car is turned on it will not allow you to lock it with the touch of the door handles. I know as it doesn't work for me. The car turning back on again is due to a second key present in or around the car by your spouse most likely
It appears my problem for the yellow electrical screen was water and corrosion in the HV Fan connector! They changed the connector and sent the whole thing to Porsche Germany for further investigation. I think the problem in my case was a faulty rubber grummet used to prevent humidity and...
I got the Electrical system error in yellow this time with many weird symptoms. Turtle being displayed, braking problems etc. Any idea what type of issues this screen is used for? I just got a repair done two weeks ago on the HV Battery heater which triggered a red death screen.
Is there anyone knowing how much range improvement you get by riding the 20" Turbo Sport Aero Wheels over the 20" Offroad Design Wheels (having more air circulating in the Offroad wheel)
. In my case it ended up to be the HV battery heater that went kapout! This alert in the end is for many types of issues. I got my car 2 days later in my case and here they give us a Porsche as loaner.
There is now in Canada an expensive luxury tax which didn't exist in my time (Jan 2022 Delivery). So in total savings it is $43,000 Cdn and taking out the luxury tax it is $25,000 Cdn after 4 years. So without the luxury tax it is an average increase in price of 3.5%.... It is a bit higher...
Is there anybody knowing why did Porsche America reduced the AC charge for the J1.1 model from 11Kw to 9.6Kw on AC? I think it probably got reduced with the monitoring battery software change last summer
Hello, I have a 4SCT 2022 with 72,000Km and I got this week-end the deadly Electrical system issues with some dead battery cells. There are 396 cells in a Taycan and replacing a few is just a very small percentage then. Consequently, there is a strong probability that it comes back for more...
I don't think that is the case for me as I had just driven for one hour before this occurs. Also, this morning after putting it back on the charge, I got a charging error now on the battery and the red circle came back, so this seems to be a solid issue now and most likely related to the high...
How many of you have got that famous RED circle and few hours later it went away and the car worked normal. I had this issue yesterday night. Nothing worked even after locking the car for almost an hour. This morning the car started just as normal!!!!
If you have got a similar situation...
Thanks but this is not answering my question. In fact the graph shows that only the battery temperature is important when charging. However I am asking if people have experienced that the outside temperature is impacting charging even when the battery is at much higher temperature.
