I have a 22 RWD with smaller battery and getting about 170 miles (275km)
I have a '22 RWD with 79 kWh battery. I have about 20k miles on it at it charges to about 170 miles 275(km) at 80%
Nope...he took it to another neighbor with a GM charger and it worked right away. Found another string with similar issue here: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/pmcc-not-charging-kona-ev.12066/
Appreciate these replies. My neighors guest had a Kona and it wouldn't work with my Porsche Mobile Connect...My Connect said connection established but Kona showed a red ring around charger and then went dark and wouldn't charge. He took car to other neighbor with a GM charger and it worked...
My neighbor came home from airport with a rental Hyundai Kona and realized it had 5 miles left of range, so he asked if he could use my charger. I told him to come over. I plugged my Porsche Mobile Connect at 30A to his car and the Mobile Connect said it established connection but the Hyundai...
Get a used one. Save the depreciation loss and let someone else get it. The Driver Assist and PCM (communication manager) on Porsche is garbage ESPECIALLY compared to Teslas.
Not sure I understand your response...but at least most of those features your listed are lost without subscription. You can't do remote horn, locking, locate, internet radio, map updates and not sure about weather, climate, profiles or timer but I don't see them in the app either.
Porsche communication manager is horrible. I have to reboot mine often. It is also super slow to boot up and glitchy at best for me. I don't even bother using the voice recognition or the GPS because it never works properly for me. That said, it drives and looks great but if you want bells...
Your phone app will basically be useless. You won't even be able to check that charge level.
It is a scam. I did not renew and it just leaves a horrible taste in my mouth related to Porsche; especially since their electronics are complete crap. I still have to two finger reboot my PCM at...
Sounds like the new Macan EV is the right car for you unless tech is a big issue for you.
I have a '22 loaded Taycan RWD and in outside tech sales also. I am int tech and Porsche's tech is TERRIBLE. I still have to reboot my PCM couple times a week. The voice recognition is unusably...
For comparison:
Porsche gives 3 years free then charges following:
Basic connectivity and phone app usage: $320/year
Car Security: $280/year
Enable Active Lane Keep Assist: $956 unlimited years
Innodrive (Adaptive cruise): $956 unlimited
Range Manager: 474 unlimited
Mercedes gives 1 year free...
Mine expired 2 months ago. It seems the web app updated at the same time. From what I can tell it makes your phone app useless. I can no longer find how to change the user profile to set the charge % on connection. (you can still set this within the car UI). I can't use the app to see what...
If you do try this...your speed and wind resistance will play a huge part in it. Anything over a 70mph headwind will cut in to your expected range. That direction ma give you a tail wind but looks like a congested (stop and go) drive.
I have Endurace on my Cayenne S and they decline most things...even though they should cover it. That said, they have covered enough to cover my costs. Porsche extended warranty was more than double the cost as I recall.
