I am just about to come out of Porsche GB warranty on my Taycan. I have the option to extend with Porsche but I wondered if anyone has any awareness of third party specialists?
thanks James
I took advantage of the comfort trial through the connect store. It was I think 3 months free.
I’m not really using it that much - any idea how I cancel it or was it a minimum term that I signed up to.
I am quite surprised that they are dropping the droopy look of the headlights. I’d assumed that was a signature look they were going for, it looks unique. Anyway time will tell.
Now that I have it I probably would not bother again. Not so much that I don’t like it / want it but mor me to do with actually having to switch it on. I’d assumed it’s was defaulted to “always on” or at least saved in settings.
There are plenty of reviews that suggest the standard coils are very good. In my case (UK) I could only get RWS if I went for air (tight turns in London streets) but I briefly test drove coil and it seemed fine to me. I’d go for bigger battery though but that’s my view. I think it also depends...
I have just taken delivery of a RWD ST. I test drove 4sCT and RWD Coupe back to back in Feb. The 4S was definitely a more “planted” car owing to the 4WD but the RWD to my mind was a more direct drive owing I suppose to the reduced weight at the front.
For me it’s a town car and in the UK in...
I hope the front lights stay. It’s such a nice design detail looping into the trunk/bonnet. But sometimes these things are down to manufacturing lessons and tolerances. Anyway brilliant motor either way. Still waiting for mine!
I went RWD after testing back to back with 4S. The RWD was definitely more sedate but I felt it was a lighter drive and very “point and shoot”. I live UK in stop start traffic with motorway commutes periodically so blistering acceleration was not the prevailing factor. But I can see why people...
Just got the nod to start my order on a ST and got me thinking what insurance companies need to know in terms of options - especially as they are not cheap! Do things like RWD need to be mentioned or is it all considered as factory as opposed to modifications. And then there is the Pano roof!!
well…. You have just made my build more £££ as I have just realised was the stitch option is. Makes it very curated / bespoke which is what the Porsche cost options is all about!
I am coming from a Tesla M3P as well. I test drove the standard RWD and 4SCT (no ST’s available yet) and whilst the 4S had considerable power it was a bit lost on me as I tend to drive only in town. And for me - and I am no car expert - the RWD felt more like a point and shoot type car - similar...
So I am going to a RWD ST having owned a M3P. The Tesla is a bit of a hooligan and if you really like the sensation of the 0-60 speed you probably will find the RWD a bit mild.
I test drove both the 4s and the RWD and whilst the 4S had notable oomph I actually preferred the “feel” of the RWD -...
What’s your views on the RWD in comparison to the AWD variants?. Does it feel under powered or just a different sort of drive. was set on a 4s but with my options it brings the RWD sub £100k which for me feels better and in truth I just seem to sit in traffic rather than charge through it! ...
I test drove with standard 8 way seats and I have to say that I found it quite uncomfortable. I then went and tried out with the 18 way and found it much better. The options are complex but at least Porsche provide you with individual options as opposed to bundles with stuff you don’t want...
I am in the process of speccing my Taycan and have been considering the 150kw option. So I assume that you have that option to get the speed? Many thanks for any advice.
