The TPMS in the J1.2 uses a different frequency than what was in the J1.1 (i.e. your 2022 model). So your car would not be able to communicate with the wheels from a 2022-model. Swapping out the sensors in the wheels lets you combine a J1.1 wheel with a J1.2 car, and vice verca.

No problem mechanically, but you will have to replace the TPMS-sensors in each wheel if you want to monitor the tyre pressure (and avoid error messages).

While the car was in for a replacement of the left-side fan today, the PC agreed to perform the WTG1 update. Happy with the new options that @Argo mentions, the PCM also feels a bit more snappy. Crossing fingers that it will behave well for our planned road trip down down the continent this summer.

Strange, must be regional differences. In the manual available at "My Porsche" for my car, it simply points to the advice provided by the PCM. There are no tables containing suggested tyre pressure(s).

Good news, and well done. My service center also said that a video showing that the navi performs a restart, was required. Well, not so easy when you usually drive alone in the car, along the highway. My car goes in next week to replace the fan in the left wheel-well and I will ask them again...

Thanks @Flying ace for great input. Interesting to see your own calculations for the "penalty" of running Mission E wheels. I would expect the turbulence effect to be quite speed dependant. Would be interested to hear about your results after some more driving/longer trips.

Mission E's are great on the Sport Turismo. Did you notice at all any change in consumption compared to your previous wheels?
