Nah not yet. They are still in the process of fitting.
Picking back up tomorrow.
I doubt they have much info. I think its just a known problem with the early 22kw chargers...
So I had a call today to say the part had arrived.
They are fitting it tomorrow along with software updates and should have it ready at the end of the day.
Fingers crossed.
Oh yes for sure!
I did a full video and photos of the enterprise car when I went to pickup.
Had to go back in twice as there were things that didn't match what I originally signed.
Like the "just under a quarter tank of fuel" which ended up being 5 miles left until empty....
That's a bugger!
I had update yesterday, part still on backorder, they have 2 other Taycans with the same issue and awaiting part at this dealership.
They extended the loan Macan until Monday and then they will need to request a further extension.....
Not sure what happens if they can't extend...
Update Today - 01/07/2025
Porsche said the 22kw Charger is dead. They need to order a new one and fit that before they can do any further testing on charging issues as the battery is now completely flat.
They said none in stock in the UK or Germany. Awaiting information from Porsche in Germany...
I'm sure you must be right.
When I got there, the staff were all leaving in cars to go to different branches. Probably one of them wanted the GLC so they swapped me into the A7.
To be honest, it drives alright and is comfy.
Just looks like it's been mistreated on the outside.
Oh and also...
Good shout! I'll keep the receipts, thank you!
Porsche took away the car this morning around 9.30am on a truck. Called me by lunchtime saying they were going to try and look at it later today and update me tomorrow.
They said the rental car is only valid for 5 days, unless a part needs to be...
Update:
Porsche didnt keep within the 2-3 hour window they said. But they did call me 4 hours after recovery and said they would get my local enterprise branch to organise a vehicle until Porsche can give me a car next week.
My local enterprise was closing so they sent it onto the out of hours...
So Morning Update.
Drained the car to 6 miles.
Called Assistance, they sent someone out within 40 mins. Tried resetting a few things and testing.
Recovery vehicle apparently will pickup on Monday most likely and they are organising me a car in next 2 hours.
1 hour in, Yet to have a call to let...
So this sounds exactly my issue then. My plan is to call porsche assistance once I get home tonight (maybe after driving around a bit to get it down to 5 miles) and get it taken away. Just hope they can give me a rental/courtesy vehicle pretty sharpish.
It does, I remember that being a huge fault for the early build taycans, but thought they fixed it when mine was built, late 2022 .... Is that what you were getting at?
it won't charge on my 7kw home charger or the 3pin mobile plug they give.....
Thanks for the response !
Yeah I have porsche assist. Got the Taycan from new and it's 2 years 6 months old.
I think my only option is to get it down to say 10 miles left, call them out and show it can't be charged based on the fact I'm not willing to drive around to find a DC charger and...
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has had a similar issue or any advice on the scenario I'm in...
Taycan GTS will not charge on AC, only DC. Home charger won't charge it, tried 4 different AC places, the emergency 13A slow plug charger, just faults...
I can't keep going out of my way to charge...
I did consider that.
But all my miles are daily commuting on the motorway in alot of traffic.
Bit of drastic difference from less than 10k miles to 15k miles with still 5mm left?
Talking of tyres...something I brought up with the sales team the other day.
Car was brand new when I received.
First pair of front tyres lasted less than 10k miles. Inners were completely bald, down to the wires basically...
The replacement front pair I put on (same make/spec tyre) has done...
