Loving the science and learning lots. Different cars different tech, but Jag used to recommend charging the iPace to 100% on AC so the Battery Management System could work its magic and ensure the best battery life. Seemed reasonable to me (that’s what the management system is for), so I did and...
I guess the confusion is driven by the want. I think most people simply want a maximum; don't go over 85% (as suggested by Porsche…). But when you set a minimum, as the wording implies you might exceed it which in most cases is not what people want so they are suspicious. The wording is correct...
Base lights don't have auto dip, this caught me out. They have auto headlights, but not auto dip (as useful as... I guess by auto they mean from sides to dipped beam). You need to add PDLS+ to auto dip / full.
Need to check again, but its not working as it should for me. It works fine on night 1 (charges to 85% during the cheap rate window), but if I don't use the car the following day and leave it plugged in, it then charges to 100% the follwing night.
Looks like all have this working now. I just wanted to point out this clip that I must have missed 10 times before watching the same video. At 3:05 she slips out this key piece of information...
Not just your good self, thought others might have a go. I did try this evening, I clearly have a floor in my test, probably to do with the normal key range. Locked from position outside garage, and then tried to open using handle leaving key in same position as locking; didn’t work so...
Any other tests done. I will try and remember to test again this evening, but would be good to know if my almost intstant is correct, or an error in my test.
Is this one trip? I get the opposite, the range starts off a little pessimistic and then always beats its original estimate. Not by much, I am always impressed by how accurate it is. I had an iPace before, the GOM was terrible, and always ended up with less range than predicted.
Why not add someting useful like speed camera's!!!!! Still can;t believe the Taycan dones not have this built into its nav. I can go back 8 years and all my cars had this.
That light is way too bright, so thought I would explore... If you go to Settings, Car, Interior Lighting there is a brightness setting for all lights excluding ambient lights. Turning this down does turn down the offending top light, but also all display panels. However, if you then go into...
Great idea for a test, so thought I would have a go. I placed my keys on roof by drivers door and then tried to open (expecting it to open), but it wouldn't. So picked up the keys and tried to open (maybe I had disabled comfort last time I used) and it opened. Placed keys on roof again and it...
I just use the PCM Charge planner. Select destination and if you don’t like the station it picks, just use the map, select charger on your route you would prefer and set as stop over. Really easy, works well, and pre-conditions.
Found it, took ages. Using the add device doesn’t work, it won’t let you progress without a QR code. Somewhere in settings there is a remove device button. Not removed the old EV, so after removing the device (old car) I got an option to Integrate EV (of course, you can only have one EV at a...
Some useful info here, thanks all. I have IO from my iPace days, but it never worked that well. I plugged the Taycan in yesterday but it starting charging straight away and sailed past 90% before I stopped it. How do you register the car, has anybody swapped an EV with IO before. TBH, we...
So I got it... Here are the details for those looking for guidance on how long things MIGHT take (everyone seems to have a different experience). Ordered 04/22, SA said likely to be May 23, build schedule said April 23, allocated Jan 23, locked Feb 23. I went to Stage 5 02/05/23. It arrived in...
