Any news on the refund? Just curious since mine died and was replaced with 11kw last week… dealer said Porsche will refund £1500 but not mention when and how :headbang::headbang:
Helpful posts so I’m gona add to this, reporting on my 4th year 2nd “major” service cost just done yesterday:
Bristol called quoted £1200, and when I told them 1st service in 2024 costed 570 they when straight down to 980.
Called Nottingham and they quote 950, not willing to budge any lower...
:eek:Damn that’s terrible mate sorry to hear that. Yeah dash cam is just a peace of mind really, I never had it until the model Y but it’s proven itself useful a few times in one year of ownership.
It’s Porsche so I’d rather not risk it…
Thanks for the suggestion but I think hardwiring it will void the warranty so it’s a no-go for me. Sorry to hear your Taycan developed a fault on delivery, although you now have time to reconsider hardwiring the Fitcamx if it void your warranty…
Naa I have all those options and no dash cam, you need to select dash cam preparation when speccing the car, then buy and fit the dash cam from dealer once you get your car.
It’s gona drive me nut having a Garmin stuck on the window at this day’n’age :CWL: good on you tho if it works for you and you don’t mind the look of it on the dash:like:
I don’t mind paying the premium if they can factory fit a rear camera as well, but I guess Porsche thinks a front camera is all you need :CWL:
The blackvue looks great actually, I prefer not hardwired as I don’t want to potentially invalidate the warranty… £500ish at halfords and fitting cost...
I was in Bristol the other week and gosh they barely has any EVs around, the charging infrastructure is so behind it’s laughable… and yet they also have clean air charges in town so everyone just have to pay it’s sad…
I guess wifes usually prioritize comfort and even the TS ST is no slouch on that aspect! She’s enjoying the super comfy seats and those lovely Burmesters without ever stepping on the pedal hard …and that’s our job!
I was debating between crayon and ice grey, seeing them in the flesh I went...
Yeah I think I can deactivate the parking break and just leave it one the flat with stoppers under the wheels, definitely don’t want those lovely carbon ceramics to get stuck and falls apart :CWL:
Naa not me haha I drive it hard and have as much fun as I can, as least when my wife is not in the car that is:CWL:. Honestly range doesn't bother me, my expectation was around 200mi. But seeing everyone else's figures on another thread worried me... definitely good to know that there's nothing...
Yeah make sense, I just drove 50mi grandma style this morning and got 2.7mi/kWh so that has proven that my range is actually normal and my battery is looking fine :like:
Hi all, any recommendations on getting a dash cam fitted to the ST? My ST doesn’t have the Porsche Dash cam preparation unfortunately, but I’d like to get an aftermarket one installed with at least front and rear cameras. Any suggestions are appreciated! Cheers.
Ok that’s not too badly off the chart then… yeah some minor hills here but nothing major. I’d say I drove pretty tamely with maybe a few blazes here and there to over take. Maybe because I have a car full of people? She was a porker to start off with anyway so didn’t think it would much that...
All make sense thank you. Would you suggest to give it a drive every so often just to keep things running, or leaving it all connected for a few months would be just fine? Cheers.
