Not to break down!!! Not to be apart for 5 months while getting fixed!! ....But I still really want a new one! Tried the Lotus Electric and it's a poor chinese version with too much weight and too big, floating with no feeling of the road, not very Lotus like at 2.5 tonnes. Electric Cayman/911...
it would be interesting for all forum members to submit their range experiences so we see a real picture. My 4s with extended battery is 200- 210miles dropping in cold weather. I have had 3 other taycans this year and ones with single motor had 240-250 miles tops. I guess the computer is an...
I had the same after 2 weeks of ownership. It needed a new charger, battery, rear motor, and battery heater, and they repaired it after 4 months in the garage. The key is to get a good Taycan loaner as it will take longer than they say as Porsche takes time to review at each stage. Good Luck
I’ve had 4 taycans this year and the vanilla taycan rear wheel drive gets 245. The cross turismo 230. 220 for the 4s, four wheel drive, 200 in sport mode. Like you I get no where near 300 with the plus battery. It’s not just Porsche who declare impossible figures.
They said it would be 18 months to get a replacement, I’m giving it one more go and if any problems I will demand new one. They have loaned me a series of Taycan Tourismo during the last 3 months. They have had no problems so I live in hope.
After all the problems I have had the battery died on 10th July and it’s still in the garage, so nearly 3 months this time. They have a new battery and are fitting it. I asked for a new car but they are giving it to me piece by piece…. Brakes, motor, air con, battery charger, air con again...
My 4s is the garage waiting for a new battery, it was getting 230 miles max when it was new, I’m now getting 245 in a Taycan loaner, wondered what were you getting prior to the reductions happening?
My 4s has been in the garage for 10 wks and is waiting for a replacement battery ....... :( it's 8 months old. I think they should check all the batteries, before they send the cars!!
No the problem is expectation. The published selling data in the glossy marketing material does not reflect real world range. All the manufacturers do it.
You are absolutely right!!! When I raised this earlier on the forum I got a lot of flack for being so stupid as to look at the marketing blurb and I should do my own research as all electric cars have the same misinformation. Clearly this is mis-selling and you should not need to do that.
I've had 3 different taycans in the last 4 weeks, each one with the larger battery and all say about 235 to 245 miles max range, (the extra 10miles in range mode). That is in Scotland but didn't change from 17 to 26 degrees. Like you I expected more as the website claims more than 300 miles, but...
Since starting this thread my car is still in the garage... and they have given me a lower spec Taycan Sport Turismo as a loan car. Gone are the massage seats and fancy electric roof blinds but worse it's not a 4s and it feels like it's broken when you try to accelerate.... it's not broken just...
So I've not been lucky with my 4s but recently received a loaner with all the trimmings and its made me think which options are best.... Top 3: The biggest smile came from the heads up display, makes you feel like a rocket man. No one else in the car can see it and everyone wonders why the big...
I think you are right, plus my daughter just admitted that she had the massage chair on all day on Sunday :) so I think that’s probably killed it. I need to be more positive from now on.
I was about to say I would change my account picture but read on……after feeling ignored by Porsche I was delighted to get a new loan Taycan with all the trimmings, the new sun roof with the electric blind, the massage seats, heads up display, and much more. I had a huge smile on my face when I...
I'm sorry to hear about your problems too, I have experienced similar and was asked by another forum member to stop complaining and why i didn't just ask for a new car replacement and refer to 'lemon laws', I'm sure its not so simple, but did you try this?
The car broke down yesterday on the way from the garage after a repair. If you have read my posts you will see I love the appearance and drive of the car. I was hoping for a cure but have now asked for a replacement. It’s clear I’m not the only one to have had these problems and believe Porsche...
