Based on what others write here, I can be looking at October or (gasp!)
SA gave me choice of MY23 July delivery at MY23 price or MY24 September delivery at MY24 price (estimated USD10-12K higher).
My reflex is to take the lower cash outlay now vs waiting for the marginal and undetermined benefits of one newer model year when I sell.

Like said elsewhere here, I notice that in Germany and Switzerland at least, many, if not most high-end cars are debadged for the trim level, if not the model.
I regularly think of 'down badging': taking my forthcoming factory-debadged GTS and installing a different VWG badge: TDI
I was told by my SA that for LA experience during pickup:
-I am allowed to take 2 'drivers'. Undisclosed drive time
-Once date is scheduled, I can potentially (pay extra to) add additional drivers
-Once date is schedule, potentially pay extra for different cars (e.g., GT3,GT4RS,911TurboS)
One more datapoint on MY23 GTS ST from deposit put in 1H22: (SA said that GTS' get built last in a MY so if I were to wait for MY24, it would not be 30,60, or 90 days, but rather it would be a year. Not sure if that is the truth.

The configurator lets you specify the LCD glass roof but you can’t order that either.
I am told this is a calendar year restriction on the PTS.
Maybe if you order now for CY24 delivery you will be ok.
