Hi all, so after several good years I now have experienced the red ring of death. First happened a few weeks ago, car towed in, they said they cleared a bunch of stuff and it was fine. Happened again this week and now they say there’s a short in the battery.
They initially said they had contacted Porsche to determine whether they would do a full battery replacement or try and replace the module that is causing the problem. They got back to me today and said they’re going to replace the module and it will be a couple months.
My question is, in everyone’s experience and I know some of you have been down this road, am I better off with a full battery replacement (I would think so) and if so is there any way to push for one? I mean, I guess I would just insist on it, but I don’t think I have any real recourse. Thanks in advance.
