Accuracy of GPS Position when Parked

Anyone else find that the GPS has a random mind when parked? The 'moving map' seems accurate and auto lift works where it should but when parked in my garage the app can show the car five houses away laterally or in the road behind. When asked to take me there it says, eg. '31 yards and 1 minute walk' Perhaps Mr Putin's opposites have degraded the signal. Presumably it is solely GPS and not a hybrid GPS/GLONASS system. Weird that stationery gives the wildest error (yes, I know it is Porsche/VW system) Previous Pork has not exhibited this trait. Seems to have degraded more recently. Not desperate but it is annoying.

Perhaps it’s the being in a garage that’s the problem. Not the best for gps reception I’d have thought.

My thought initially but when left 'out' it does the same, or worse

Mine seems accurate, I often check when its at the railway station carpark and suprised how close it shows to where I've parked it.

Seems strange that the GPS is not accurate.

My car is shown in the app as being within a metre or two in the correct place. Both at home as well as in most outdoor spaces I am parking. Also the same when using the PCM with satellite pictures. The only place I have seen the GPS getting confused and inaccurate, has been when driving in narrow streets with many high rise buildings, like centre of Monaco.

Does the antenna on the rooftop have clear view of the sky? Perhaps there is some connection between antenna and PCM that has been corroded or worked itself loose?
