Active Ride suspension affect on range

I also spec'd the Active Ride Suspension. The dealer indicated that:

(1) Total range will be impacted ~ 5 miles due to Active Ride.
(2) While the 800V battery is used for the ease of entry feature, the 12V battery is used for the smaller adjustments while driving.

Possibel. And it also uses the 800V battery as power source for the electric motors.

It is powered so will use power from either battery.

Either way it is not material.

You lose more range depending on the tyre and wheel selection - the more open the wheel design then the more range you lose. I'm assuming you also factored that in when selecting if range is a sensitive topic?

I ordered 20"wheels as a compromise between looks, comfort and efficiency. My concern with active ride was the motors at each wheel constantly working as the car is in motion eating up the range. I can't believe the motors would use the main battery for ease of entry and then switch to the 12 volt battery for everything else.

pretty sure it uses the main 800v battery, this is why it is only available on the hybrid Panamera and not the ICE versions.

I met the engineer responsible for the design of active ride and this is one of the slides. It is powered by the 800V battery.

It doesn’t but even if it did the 12V battery would have to be charged with the 800V anyway. It would still affect range.
