Having just read the news about the Taycan EV charging planner being available in Apple Car Play for US owners, I guess the obvious question is when will this be make available as an option for UK owners?
Apple Maps has improved significantly over the last few years, but Google maps is still ahead with its depth of information. Many people are also fans of Waze. I guess it depends what you want from your satnav. They all have their own strengths and weaknesses. The big downside for me is I have the heads up display option and this only integrates with Porsche's inbuilt navigation.
I'd cautiously hold my breath about that last point--if I were a betting man I'd say there's pretty good probability that Apple announces access to Porsche's HUD as part of its deeper CarPlay integration. CP2 is to be officially announced at the upcoming WWDC in June, and drop this fall, afaik.
