Hi Everyone --

The two cars I previously mentioned at MSRP (incoming RWD & RWD allocation) have sold! If you want to place an order demand at MSRP, or be offered any incoming Taycans at MSRP, please PM...I keep a spreadsheet of people and try to reach out if I hear of anything.

In other news: I was speaking to a different SA in SoCal, and he mentioned he has an open allocation for Taycan GTS Sedan and Taycan GTS Sport Turismo. Unfortunately, there is an ADM. I was debating as to whether or not I should even post about it here given there's an ADM, but I ultimately thought it's best I share it a) in case someone is in SoCal and wants to pay to play and b) as a data point for the community. ADM is $20k for either...I didn't try to negotiate. If you're in SoCal and want his info, please PM!

Otherwise, I look forward to posting about more incoming cars at MSRP on here soon :)

I am in So Cal and was able to negotiate ADM from 20k to 5K. Not for an order, but a built incoming vehicle. Worth a shot!

That's awesome! What trim? I think this SA is doing $10k on RWD.

I was mainly enticed by the GTS ST...If there's one Taycan that should command a premium, I think it's GTS ST.

It's a CT4. It's missing a few things I would have ordered (chrono and rear steering), but awesome everything else and will be here in less than a month!

Available incoming Taycan 4S Sedan! January arrival, being sold at MSRP. Nice build with Premium Pack, PB+, Sport Chrono, 21s, and more. First 4S I've seen available since March. If you’re interested, please PM ASAP! I’ve tried my best to message/email everyone who previously messaged me about a 4S…but I may have missed someone.

There might also be an available CT4 at MSRP...PM for more info.

There’s also an open Panamera 4 E-Hybrid allocation…you can build as Sedan/Sport Turismo/Executive.

@ssim I'm curious. Where do these incoming new cars come from? Are they typically cancelled orders from other customers? Or, are they dealer spec cars? If the latter, are dealers specing their own cars because they ran out of people waiting for allocations, or because they prefer to spec cars with more profitable options, so they divert allocations to their own specs?

Great questions -- Since the beginning of this thread, the cars I've posted have pretty much all been bonus cars given by PCNA. That is why they're locked configurations and relatively similar in spec. PCNA awards cars to dealers for various reasons.

I have not seen many customers cancel their orders, especially at MSRP...and some good dealers (like this one) prefer to presell a unit at MSRP than have it sit on the lot with ADM.

What are bonus cars? Are they extra cars Porsche managed to put together from leftover parts (i.e. after allocating all customer parts, see what parts they have available and spec cars to match)? Or are they cancelled orders dealers give back to PNCA? Or are they the most profitable spec for PCNA? Or are they filling the gap in what PCNA thinks should be out there in the market but customers don't order (e.g. if not many people order night vision, they want to make sure there are some cars with night vision out there to justify spare parts channels, etc)? Something else?

I don't work for PCNA, so I can't tell you the exact formula that constitutes a 'bonus' car.

As I currently understand it, these bonus units (along with inventory/stock units) that dealers receive are distributed at the discretion of PCNA. If dealer has recently built a new store, invested $$$ in fast chargers, won some sort of internal PCNA dealer competition...PCNA might throw them a bone in the form of additional cars.

They are not cancelled orders given back to PCNA; they're not necessarily the most profitable builds; I haven't seen builds with options to "close the gap." They're usually just normal, nicely equipped builds with all of the Porsche essentials. Basically, it seems to me they're regular cars ordered by PCNA but aren't necessarily assigned to a dealer until they're built/at port/on a boat/etc. Gives PCNA flexibility and dealers incentive to do something to get additional cars.

That all being said, let's move on and recognize how lucky it is for these nice cars to be available at sticker!

Thanks, I still don't quite grasp why bonus cars are not just bonus allocations if they are in fact meant to be a reward. I'd think dealers would prefer a configurable allocation over pre-configured car), but I'm not a dealer so maybe they prefer cars already built over an open allocation, especially given today's production delays. ?‍♂

It's likely because they're able to get the car sooner, as some of these bonus units are about to exit production. They even have Bose!

I'm sure part of these cars even existing is PAG being able to perhaps push additional units into production...but I don't know enough about the inner workings of Porsche to make that claim.

The order sent by the dealer to Porsche has a "type": KF stands for Kundenfahrzeug (customer vehicle), and it's the customer's to configure. The/some dealers also get the other type of allocation (whose name escapes me atm), which can go towards a display car, a shuttle, an exec/dealer use car etc. The dealer may be able to spec these, or it comes with a spec decided by the manufacturer. These are called "dealer inventory" allocations, and in the lean times (ie dearth of allocations) they could be seen as 'bonus' ones.

I just got off the phone with my SA...wanted to quickly update everyone and provide helpful info in one short post:

He has a few open Taycan RWD allocations. If you'd like to order one, please PM. Being sold at MSRP, and you can do PEC Delivery!

Incoming Taycan 4S Sedan is available. It's a locked configuration. Being sold at MSRP. PM for spec sheet!

Incoming CT4 is pending...PM, and I can let you know if it falls through.

If you'd rather not wait for a Taycan RWD order, there are a couple of available, incoming RWD sedans.

The reason for this burst of cars is the most recent allocation round and the transparency I have with my SA. I expect everything to sell quickly, as typical for Taycans, especially since these are at MSRP!

Things must finally be moving if PCNA managed to provide enough allocations, be it for RWD, to satisfy demand queue at your SA's dealer and still have some leftover. This gives me hope my car will actually be produced soon. :fingerscrossed:
