@ssim Thank you for your help earlier getting me on the allocation queue for 4S and also sharing the existing inventory. I was looking for a very specific build and non- white/black/silver so I decided to keep waiting.

I fortunately found a very good build on the certified inventory with a dealer in TX where I placed my order. Its not brand new custom build I was looking for but almost like brand new. My car got delivered a couple of days ago and it's awesome. I like to thank @ssim for all the efforts help me get the car I was looking for.

Congrats! What a beautiful car :) I’d look into getting the clear side markers from Suncoast for $100…would make it look even cleaner! I’m getting some for our CT4.

For anyone who’d like to get in queue for Taycan…or any Porsche really…you’re always welcome to PM. I don’t know of any available inventory units at the moment, but when I do, I’ll make sure to share it with everyone here.

Great question! When you purchase a car from an out-of-state dealer, they typically give you a temp tag from their state. Most dealers use a third-party service to complete the registration process who then mail your plates & reg (for CA, you need to get a VIN Verification and SMOG Check for ICE cars, even if they're new...you provide this to the dealer, who'll pass it on; VIN Verification can be done at the DMV, and it's actually quick & easy).

I recommend you guys look into LightStream...I haven't used them, but it looks like a pretty easy process. It's an unsecured loan, so they wire you $ directly, but of course, the funds have to go towards a vehicle. You basically then buy the car in cash. I believe they're offering 3.99% for 60-72 months ($100k max loan amount), but that'll probably change as rates are expected to rise.
I been waiting two months for the tag n plate. Not sure why it’s taking them so long

Sorry to hear your tags are taking so long! Some dealers take longer than others. Definitely check in with their Title Clerk.

My SA is at a different dealer, and he’s usually able to get people tags within 4-5 weeks, but it varies per state.

Any idea when we can expect the next round of allocations to go out?

I expect we'll see a trickle of allocations sometime in October...but I'm not sure if PCNA will distribute many Taycans because of the ongoing production issues.

Side Note: I know of an available CPO Taycan GTS Sport Turismo, in case someone wants one to enjoy or perhaps hold them over until their order arrives. Priced @ ~$20k over with CPO.

Everyone is always welcome to PM me!

Second Side Note: I know of one Taycan 4S Sedan allocation and one Taycan GTS Sedan allocation available...there's ADM since it's with a SoCal dealership (different dealership than my main SA who takes order demands and has sold cars to kind people on here at MSRP).

They'll only sell locally, so if you're in SoCal, these might be good options....you'd negotiate the final ADM with the SA directly. I think it'll be ~$15k for 4S (perhaps you can get it down to $10k?) and about the same/more for GTS.

Just ordered my ‘23 RWD yesterday, early Oct build slot (some chance for delivery before year end but who knows) at MSRP. My dealer had another allocation for Oct build that freezes on Sep 20 - if anyone is interested, feel free to DM and happy to connect you.

Update for those who care: Our CT4 will be loaded on transport next week! I'll make sure to share photos and thoughts with everyone after we get to experience it for a while...We'll be using EA for a bit until the 240v outlet is figured out, so fingers crossed Plug & Charge works.

If you'd like to place a Taycan order demand @ MSRP (with no deposit required until you have an allocation) for any trim, you're welcome to PM! If you're in a bit of a time crunch and need something sooner (RWD or 4S), please PM...I can put you in touch with my SA who can share any available inventory cars if they become available. The two kind people on here who snagged the incoming RWD and 4S I mentioned weeks back are set to take delivery imminently :)
If allocation is secured, then what is the deposit amount thereafter?

I believe it’d be $2.5-5k! Sometimes it depends on how loaded/unique the build is.

We put $5k down for a GTS ST allocation (with config that needs to be locked down mid-next month); but apparently we can't order the VLL roof nor the Burmester sound system, so the dealer told us we have to 'give up' the allocation and do a factory demand order....

My thoughts:

I'd ask your SA to check and see if the VLL and Burmester delays are indefinite or end at a defined period. For example, sometimes PCNA says certain options are on "order stop from X Month-Z Month"...other times it'll just say "order stop from X Month" signifying an indefinite delay.

If the delays are indefinite, you're kinda just outta luck...and need to decide how valuable these options are to you. If there's an end date to the delay, you can ask your SA to contact their regional rep and kindly have the allocation moved until after the delay ends. This isn't guaranteed, but it never hurts to ask.

For example: Someone PM'd me about ordering a Taycan Turbo in PTS. At the time, PTS was on order stop...but there was a defined month after which the constraint was supposed to end (I think this allocation was ~2 months before the end date). My SA was able to contact his PCNA regional rep, and the allocation was pushed back in order to accommodate PTS. Of course, PTS is a niche option that many do not select...VLL and Burmester are likely to be selected by more people, thus making any accommodations that much more difficult.

Congrats on the allocation, though! GTS ST is incredible hard to come by. If you'd like any more help or guidance, you're welcome to PM me.
