Blank PCM screen

Hi all. I think I have read about this issue, but maybe not quite the same. It happened on my 4S both before and after the uPdate and now on the Turbo. I can occasionally get in the car and the main PCM screen gets stuck on “Porsche”. It doesn’t matter how long I leave it, it doesn’t move onto the menu screens. The radio will work and I can move from Apple play (which loads up) back to radio with the diamond button I have programmed and between favourite tracks with the other diamond button. I have rebooted via engineering mode, but it is still stuck. When I go away and lock the car it is fine when I come back.
So the issue is the screen, not the functions although I obviously can’t use the functions when I can’t see them. I know it will fix by locking and leaving, but this isn’t always an option - this morning I needed to go to work. Turning off and locking/unlocking straight away doesn’t work.
Has anyone found a solution other than leaving it for a while then coming back?

I will be keen to know as it happened to me last week (posted on here).

I stopped / started a couple of times, but it persisted.

Got home, parked up and tried the car after about an hour and it was working normally again.

Some suggestions on here that it's a bad signal on an OTA update.

I have had this happen several times over the 12 months that I have owned my 2022 4S. Generally in a day or two (!) the Passenger Display returns. I am not suggesting that that is acceptable but since getting dealer service slot is likely 3 weeks away, it is unlikely that i would be able to show them the issue.

To a degree I agree that it is usually not a big deal. But if you have planned to go somewhere that uses satnav or want to play different music on a longer journey it will be a big deal for that trip. It could be extremely annoying to the extent that you have to use your phone for navigation and balance it somewhere. And can’t listen to the music you want.
so if anyone has a solution that works, please share it!

This happened again and I have now discovered that it prevents charging. There was a free socket at work and it wouldn’t charge until I locked the car then quickly plugged it in before the charge door shut. It took a while to work that out. It did charge, but the app then wouldn’t connect. 10 hours later it still had the blank screen when I drove home and it only reset itself when locked and not charging for a while. So you can work around it not charging but this means the car doesnt reset itself. What a nuisance.

Happened to me today too. I hope it is resolved when unlocking the car again. I noticed the info in the app is not correct. The battery level is lower in the car than in the app, the car is charging but the app does not display this and it says the driver door is open.

there is no solution, Porsche apparently considers it a feature. Happens to me once a month on average. have to turn car off, lock and leave it for 5-10 min. Even the dealer told me when I bought it this would happen and Porsche has no solution. ??‍

It was mentioned in the recent software update thread, that it is a fix for the blank screen
