Mirror on drivers side is aspherical by default.

Option Lane Chane Assist for proper blind spot monitoring (now standard).

I can’t figure out why the us banned them on the driver side. It make no sense what so ever unless somebody can provide us information. Anyway yes this is a super important safety measure. Even better that the blind spot alert.

I have it on my Taycan. It definitely takes some getting used to as, "Objects in mirror ARE ACTUALLY CLOSER than they appear" in the mirror lol. For example, with the U.S mirror, if you can see most of the car in the lane next to you, you are most likely safe to change lanes. With the aspherical mirror, you'd more than likely be cutting off the person.

Before the install, I had my mirrors set up like this: https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a15131074/how-to-adjust-your-mirrors-to-avoid-blind-spots/

However, even doing it that way still left some questionable spots i.e seeing oncoming cars when merging onto freeway and cars changing into the same lane just as I am. Obviously, a full over the shoulder look would help alleviate this problem.

The aspherical mirror eliminates that. Using the rear view mirror and aspherical mirror in conjunction with LCA--I barely have to turn my head.
