Brand new Taycan with wipers juddering

Finally got my Taycan 4S delivered today, and it happened to be a rainy day. Yet to do a proper test drive and play with PCM settings etc, but the new wiper blades aren’t running smoothly on windscreen during the rain. There is definite judder and noise. Any idea what it could be, should I visit Porsche to fix? Sorry if it sounds too naive but l don’t wanna fiddle with a day old car

Probably residue on the windshield from the shipping protection. My car did the same thing. Cleaned and polished the glass, cleaned the wiper blades with alcohol and much better. Some wet, but not wet enough, conditions still cause relatively minor juddering. I'll bet the Hyundai in front of you in traffic isn't dealing with crappy wipers. Sometimes it's the little things that Porsche fail at.

this is pretty common if your car was sprayed with wax (ie a drive through car wash). You can use rubbing alcohol on a towel and clean the windscreen (CAREFULLY, keep it on the glass) on the windscreen and the rubber wipers.

Thanks for prompt response. I am not aware if car went through such wash/waxing process prior to delivery. It was in PPF shop though. Anyways I will give it a shot carefully like you said and revert with an update tomorrow !

My wipers did not clean the windscreen properly when delivered from new. The left one slipped in its arc and smeared.

If the solutions offered don’t fix the issue, in a car costing loadsamoney, take it back and get new wipers.

I took mine back 2 weeks in and the wipers were replaced. Fine afterwards. No problem.

Made me wonder why they didn’t pick this up in the pre delivery inspection. Or maybe they did…?

This happened to me too - brand new car and I could see the left blade was deformed ( I had to put the wipers in cleaning position to really see) - I called my dealer and he FedExed a new pair, which i installed myself - it was quite easy
