At least here in Finland they have replaced/ are replacing all the heaters. It's also a much faster procedure now, mine was upgraded to new version on the same day as I had the 60k service.
yeah... I wonder what we are going to celebrate next :) Brake hoses mailed to your house, so that you can change it yourself without a visit to a dealer

Hasn’t every J1 Taycan had to have a heater replacement?
This depends on the production date. Mine was produced in April of 2023 and at that time the revised version was used to my knowledge. Only 2 recalls apply to mine at this time: APB6: 240V Cable and ARB0 Brake Hoses with PSM software update. However, as others stated, major problems can happen suddenly, so no one is immune to the Red Circle of Death, Onboard Charger failure, or the Heater that will be tested again during this winter.

Then it looks like everyone will be impacted by the HV battery fire risk with letters coming out any time. I read that some 109k Toyotas will need engines replaced so 27k Taycan HV battery replacements would be something else.

Don't worry. Replaced heater needs to be replaced faster than the 1st one. My 2nd one needs to be replaced now, after 4 months.
The original "wrong one" worked properly up to the last day, ca. 2 years.

I will be on the look out for it. What are the symptoms of the failed heater, no more hot air from vents or there is more to it than that to catch it early.

In my case decreased heating power.
Not much and not always. Sometimes the car become heated faster sometimes slower...
Something like this.
My car in service with charging problems. Code reading showed that the heater needs to be replaced again.

This is helpful, I will try to crank up the heat to check it out. So far, I am in Auto and A/C Eco so when it calls for heat, it is gradual and so far has been working as expected. I would be interested if you could capture part numbers from the heater that is failed and the new one they will be replacing with so I can cross check that when mine goes for brake hose recall. However, think a lot of things have to be removed to have access to it to see the part number. I understand it is located above the glove compartment.

Same habit, was not so cold yet so did not cried about it, fortunately came out next to the base problem, charging while code reading.

When my heaters failed there was no heat coming out from the vents at all and the car fogged up in cold wet weather.

I am on my 4th heater at the moment. Number one and two failed completely and no 3 was replaced by a recall InApril/May.

I hope I do not need another one again.

I'm sorry that you're having those problems. Maybe I should knock on wood when I say this, but I got my '25 4S in August and it has worked flawlessly. I've had a Ferrari, 911s, M5s, M4, RS7, RSQ8, Macan GTS...and others ... everything considered this is the best car I've ever had. The performance is just effortless and, of those cars which all had settings from comfort to sport plus, this is one that comes closest to delivering on the Dr Jeykl, Mr Hyde promise.

I sincerely hope you can work out the issues so you can enjoy what it has to offer!

In my case it never failed but they replaced it recently part of a recall. What the dealer told me is that Porsche changed the heater provider and all heaters they replaced in the last 12 months didn’t have any problems. That’s probably why they went with the recall as well. They are probably confident that the one they are using for the recall is reliable.

So maybe you may have a good chance that it won’t fail again
