Breakdown Cover - Porsche Assistance??

I normally get UK Breakdown Cover for my vehicles from one of the majors.

I notice that Porsche have an Assistance Package - does this provide breakdown cover?

Anyone used the Porsche Assistance? do I also need UK Breakdown cover?

Any feedback or experience would be appreciated.

It is tied in with the new cars warranty (3 years in UK).
If you take the extended warranty after 3 years, you have the option to bolt it on at extra cost.

I have had to use the bolt on for an extended warranty. Works very well. It covered the tow to a Porsche garage for analysis of the problem.

It also covered the complete repatriation ft]rom Sweden yo the South of France for us plus the car, once repaired. All of this was after the initial 2 year warranty period here in France. Ďuring the warranty period it covered two tows to our local dealer, but I guess any 3rd party arrangement, would have done the same.
