So today (collection day of my Macan 4S), I manage to curb my taycan wheel AND cut a piece of the tyre rubber - pictures here.

2 questions:

1) I suppose I need to replace it asap right? Even if the pressure didn't drop

2) I have 2k miles, would replace just 1 or also the other front tyre?

Thx

There is a spec IIRC in the manual and if not the dealer can give it to you. Not sure about in UK but in US some providers will shave a tire to match. at 2k miles I'm going to guess unless you have been hooning the care you are ok with one.

However, that damage looks like it's in the hangover rim protection lip on the tire, not the core of the tire sidewall.... I'd take a closer look to see if it needs replacement or not.

Almost certainly only need one tyre, the general guide on allowable tolerance is around 3/32 of an inch but in round numbers it is +/- 2.3 mm difference in tread depth so a new tyre will at about 7mm and so long as you have around 4.5mm to 5mm left on the other tyre it will be fine. If you are trading in see if they spot it but don't pay OPC prices for a new tyre. Just changed my two rear tyres and saved £200 on OPC price.
