This was quite suprising to me. Why can’t you disable PDCC on the Taycan? You can on the 911, and it makes even more sense on the Taycan for saving a bit of energy - or did Porsche consider that energy to be negligible? I mean, you can turn off all the assistance systems - why on Earth would you turn those off?

I don't think it is possible to switch off in any Porsche - it is always on / active.

Wasn't possible in my Cayenne nor in the Taycan.

The button in the 911 is for switching PASM settings and when the indicator light is off this simply means you are in Normal mode (suspension / shock absorber / damper stiffness) but PDCC is always active.

Only option would be to pull a fuse which I wouldn't advocate.

Got it. Perhaps I misunderstood what that "PDCC" button is in 911 videos I've seen online.

Out of interest, why did you option an advanced performance feature for thousands only to now want to disable it?

Many of us are in a PDCC or not conundrum, so it would be interesting to hear from owners what PDCC is like for daily driving.

Cheers

I don't have my car yet. I was just wondering why it's possible to disable it on 911 and not in Taycan. Maybe I misunderstood. Based on what @W1NGE is saying, it's not possible to disable it in 911 either.

That’s the PASM button on the 911 (the suspension icon). It has PDCC annotated on it to indicate the car has PDCC, but doesn’t turn it off/on.

It wouldn't make any sense to be able to switch it off since it would be disconnecting the anti-roll bars all the time!

Yeah its one of those buttons that is labelled as if it does two things in a 911 and if the led is not lit up then you could wrongly assume the system is 'off' but 99.9% certain that is not the case. As it relates to roll bars and dampers then Porsche label the SPASM (PASM Sport) button with PDCC to provide some comfort that the system is installed for the £2.5K (or whatever) they charge for it!. So when not lit the system is in 'Normal' settings and therefore on. The led will indicate sports setting (stiffer).
