CarPlay won’t connect anymore- video

Resetting the phone worked once tonight. Two finger swipe worked once yesterday (then it went back to not connecting).

We shall see if this combo of resetting both sticks. 🤷‍♂️

I hope I don’t have to stand on one foot and sing Mary had a little lamb each time to try to connect.

Side note, about every other time I drive, Sirius XM won’t connect from the favorites menu and I have to click the XM shortcut and hit this disclaimer:

Hopefully unrelated, since the CarPlay issue is just this week and the above has been happening for 2 months.

I’m honestly used to bugs, had a 21 Mach E for 4 years and the first year was a different bug every week. But I want to figure out the quirks and workarounds/fixes for this car for sure.
Oh wow. I feel for you. Did you recently have a software update or recall? I ask because after one of the recalls my Android Auto icon was completely missing from the screens. I had to have the dealership re-update the software.

My PCM has been flawless since it had a software update last month during service. I haven’t checked the version, but one thing that gave away the fact that the software was updated was the animation when switching selection of the left vs center vs right dial in the instrument cluster. Before, the yellow dashes would just move from dial to dial, now there’s a ring-then-fade animation when switching.

Oh wow. I feel for you. Did you recently have a software update or recall? I ask because after one of the recalls my Android Auto icon was completely missing from the screens. I had to have the dealership re-update the software.
Haven’t been to the dealer yet, no updates since I did all the ones right when I got it then set on auto. Hoping the CarPlay is just a glitch with my phone.

The XM I read elsewhere someone had to have a dealer force an update to fix.

I don’t have any issues with CarPlay but I wanted to let you know that my phone icon has the line through it and honestly I don’t know what it means. But since it’s working, it doesn’t bother me.

The second thing that happens to me is that I have to also acknowledge the SiriusXM disclaimer before I hear any radio stations. I thought it was because I was still in the trial period but it doesn’t look like that’s the case.

Even though I’m a subscriber it did move me to trial. That ends in February, so I’m hoping that disclaimer goes away.
