Charging in the Rain

(Apologies to Gene Kelly) Few public chargers have canopies above them, or indeed any form of shelter from the environment. Has anyone had to charge their car in the rain? Any issues, especially at a 350Kwh charging station? Seems like a lot of electricity flowing in a highly-conductive environment, especially in a downpour.

The cars and chargers are built to be able to charge in the rain. The systems are highly monitored with protections. There would have to a major fault with the charger or car for something to happen.

My only issue with charging during a downpour was that I was soaking wet ! No plug-and-charge with MY2020, and I hate umbrellas…
