Quick update. Visited Porsche Dublin yesterday to discuss my car, today is the 88th day of 2024 that my car has been at the dealership. The staff at Porsche Dublin are always willing to discuss, but the outcome was pretty useless, essentially:

1. They have given me a loaner Taycan, what more can they be expected to do?
2. They have no idea when my car will be returned. This was updated 30 minutes later with the news that another battery cell must be replaced, the 3rd. Previous experience suggests that this repair takes a minimum of 8 weeks.
3. Absolutely unwilling to discuss my rejection of the vehicle, a permanent replacement vehicle or a reasonable allowance againt another vehicle.
4. Acknowledged without hesitation that these are issues I could see again and again and that this essentially is part of Taycan ownership!
5. That 'Audi e-Tron GTs & BMW iXs are doing exactly the same'.

Meantime the 6 month old loaner was very dirty on delivery, is showing a consistent amber 'chassis fault' message and the tailgate is full of water such that each time I open it, it floods the luggage area (Ireland gets lots of rain remember, even in summer!).

I'm convinced that Porsche AG have a strategy of 'toughen it out' with Taycan drivers while ensuring that they just about stay within consumer law of the relevant jurisdiction. After that, my belief is that they couldn't care a less, I can draw no other conclusion. They make their money on 911, Panamera, Cayenne, not Taycan.
Don’t lose hope - these guys are seeing how hard you push back when you get their stock answer.

You have to put them on notice that reasserts your consumer rights. The right to “enjoy” your product and is it “fit for purpose”. As this isn’t the case then what does your consumer rights cover - if this was a tv or a dishwasher would you accept the same answer?

The situation is not acceptable for a €20k car or a €100k + car.

Start writing - quote consumer law -put a stake in the ground.

Get them to confirm this in writing…..
Acknowledged without hesitation that these are issues I could see again and again and that this essentially is part of Taycan ownership!

Belonging to the group - as you probably have noticed:
https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/half-year-and-counting-electrical-system-fault.19064/
Minimal communication from Porsche. 12th June was last SMS telling the next time the problems will be looked at is 12th August - but then came the recall caused by the brake hoses so the repair may need more time.
So the 4S has been faulty since 19th December 2023.

Half year and counting
Thats insane man, think of the deprecation that has been for that half a year.
You have lost so much money on it and you cant sell it, since its in their hands.

I would not accept that, must be some sort of justification or buy back from them I think.

Insane, ignorant.. could find many other terms too. The fact is we have bought rather expensive car which is the least reliable of all electric cars.
And Porsche does not care.
It looks like they have even adviced all dealers not to make any swap deals - which could cause Porsche a significant bill of all 'a bit' faulty used cars.
This Trashcan is something I need to get rid of but - as you said - is impossible when it's always on dealers scrapyard.

I think you should talk to your countries consumer law agency, most likely so long time with such a deprecating asset - and beeing locked in/unable to sell/trade it, means they have to buy it back or at least give you the cash difference of the deprecation and other financial costs that occur because you dont have the car.

I can see how this response would be frustrating. I'd likely feel the same.

My opinion, for what it's worth, is to persevere and go on record that it's got to be resolved and your determined to do this in a satisfactory manner for you!

I'm confident the dealership is not happy either given the limited EV technician resources in IE right now. I'm also sure those limited resources deliver more quantifiable benefit to the dealer preparing new cars as against repairing relatively new cars.
