Hi all, long time reader, first time posting. After almost 16 months I collect my Taycan 4S on Friday.

Is there any things I should specifically looking out for at the collection?

Also I am wanting some rubber mats and a boot liner, is it even worth asking if these can be included or will I be laughed out of the dealership?

Wow that is some wait! I bet you are seriously excited now.

No harm in asking for all weather mats and boot liner. I got my dealer to throw them in when I ordered last month. It clearly didn't do any harm as he got me an allocation 3 weeks later with a 4S CT build date ofv1st November.

It’s hard to ask once you’ve ordered but worth calling and asking. I got a bag of goodies with my car and the boot liner wasn’t in stock (but is now). I’m going to pop in to grab it this week.

For collection :

1. Check the registration docs are right (esp if buying in a company)
2. Sort out the tracker the day before
3. Sort all finance out before and double check it!
4. Check you get two keys and the handbook in the glovebox
5. Check all the main spec is on the car (mine to check was the electric steering adjustment function which wasn’t on some cars due to parts)
6. Check it’s charged
7. Check before collection they applied all the updates to it

Wonderful collection experience at Porsche Chester. James my sales rep could not do enough to make the experience as special as it should be. I paid for the boot liner and Chester offered me the car mats as a gesture which went over and above. A wonderful garage compared to the service I received at my local dealership Porsche Teesside.
