Control Carplay with touchpad

Ok guys, I just have two simple questions.

1) Is it possible to control carplay with the touchpad on the center console? Is it responsive?
2) Does skipping tracks with the diamond button also work in carplay (spotify app)

I have been searching the internet for ages to find the answers. Could you please check/ help me? As I find it important to not fiddle with the touchscreen while I am driving..

It won't. You can adjust volume in this context (lower screen) and that's about it.

Hey Porsche can be used as can the diamond key(s) - not tried with Carplay.
