My CT (Turbo S) is finished at the Porsche factory. It is now just waiting for the last microchip parts. Can anyone out from experience tell me when I can expect the car to be delivered ?
No one really knows. It depends when parts arrive I guess. My CT is also waiting at the factory since mid-july.

Just been let down by Porsche again - I ordered my 4S in mid-Dec 2020, with a due date of April. Since then had 7 different production dates. Finally, an email 2 weeks ago saying car built and being shipped to the UK. Then had an email from the d/ship yesterday saying that Porsche's online IT systems weren't correct and that the car hadn't even built yet let alone in transit. Not holding out much hope of getting the car till late Sept at the earliest.

Ordered my high spec 4S February for my “round number” birthday, may be waiting for the next “round number” one at this rate.

Emailed Porsche UK dealer several times, he can only confirm it will be a MY2021, not MY2022. Still no word about build or delivery. I had thought it’s likely the more extras on the car the more likely it is to need more semiconductors, hence a greater delay, but this is obviously a generic problem so may not make much difference. I’m usually very patient, but this is just plain annoying. Still love my Merc S500 and still having seconds thoughts about whether a new S class might have been better…time will tell, but good luck to all with your delivery dates…..just don’t hold your breath else you may go very blue.

I have a build allocation for October. Dealer sent confirmation from Porsche today. Estimates delivery early/mid November.

Those waiting for a very long time: did your dealer have an actual build allocation available or did they just lead you on?

My experience in the US that they were upfront with their allocations.

Same.

Also, if you are offered an allocation, take it. The dealer will not wait more than a couple of days for you to decide, and it will easily go to someone else.

(As stated earlier: car was ready at factory since 28th July but held back because of 'missing parts')

Just got a call from the dealer. They have received a list of cars that were held back with a new estimation on when they should arrive at the dealer. According to this list, mine should arrive in week 36 (2 weeks from now)... if all goes well, of course.

What bothers me, though, is that the dealer doesn't know if that is with or without the currently missing parts, as they received 2 other Porsches (I think he said Panamera, not sure) without some driver assist stuff and they are currently not allowed to deliver those cars to the customers. Even though the customer wouldn't bother missing these features for some time and let it install once it arrives at the dealer.

I can only hope my Taycan arrives in week 36 with everything on it... :)

I asked my dealer to send me a screen shot of their internal system that shows "open campaigns" on my car. There are 4 open items. 3 allow the car to be sold and they can fix later. Certain items being required by law (Tire Pressure monitor being the one on my car) and the car has to have them to be sold.

The dealer successfully talked me into paying them for PPF and ceramic, so I went there today but did not come back with the car. I did get to see it, though it was still covered in plastic from transport.

My car is missing the second key and wireless phone charger. Among the paperwork I signed was a sheet that listed the stuff that was missing and saying that it would be installed as parts became available.

Thats a good question but difficult to answer. The order for my 4S went in February 2021. In the "Collecting your Porsche" form after deposit payment, it stated delivery by November 2021, which was a surprise as it was so far away. The dealer said it shouldn't be that long and then stated build scheduled in June, delivery end July.

Of course, like everyone else, I'm still waiting and it looks like delivery may actually be November. So to answer your question, it probably sounded like the dealer was being over-optimistic, but equally difficult to know what level of information he was given by Porsche head office (I bought from an official Porsche UK dealership). Porsche know and press-released regarding significant delays regarding semiconductors back in February, so it's not a surprise....just a disappointment its Taycan so long...(apologies for the pun)

Hello,

I placed my taycan rwd order in the beginning of February. Delivery was planned in the 3th week of July but unfortunately in the end of July I received a call from my Porsche centre that my car was finished but there was a chip missing to control the tire pressure sensors according the salesman. Now it is standing over there on a parking lot like many and waiting for the missing part ? Porsche itself is giving no communication according my Porsche centre because they probably have no idea when the part will come. So that sucks. Hope it doesn’t take long.

Greetz from Belgium ??

Hello Gerry, we are all waiting the same (TPMS) part… my car is coming to the dealer tomorrow, and they hope they’ll receive TPMS in coming week(s), so I’ll get the car in the 36th week (September 6-10).

Does anyone know what is going on with the CT's? It seems the sedans are being shipped without the TPMS but the CT's are stuck in the factory.

I have the sedan and is also stuck in the factory on a parking lot. Would also hope mine was at the dealer so I could at least already have a look ?

Strange that yours is going to the dealer with the TPMS. I texted mine today to ask if he had any update. He said he will not get an update until the TPMS is installed at the port and they schedule delivery to the dealership. To me, ship them to the dealer. We can get our PPF and tint and ceramic work done while we cannot drive the car.
