Out of interest Iain, when did you receive the invitation to log into the My Porsche app? They added it on their system? I got an email welcoming me to my Porsche App.. when I logged in I could see my car. (And the VIN number, build spec etc) the app also tells you it establishes a connection to the car and the car is communicating..
For reference, before taking delivery of my first Taycan, I was advised by my dealer to not log into My Porsche prior to them setting up the vehicle at the dealership. Apparently doing so before they link the vehicle to your account on the Porsche server before you link to the Porsche account on the Porsche server from your phone can create conflicts that makes the My Porsche app buggy thereafter in terms of comms for the vehicle. Not sure if things have changed with later software builds.
My own My Porsche app showed my new car as being ‘readied for factory release (graphic provided, no photos) last week. However, now, all reference to the new car has vanished. Yet, my old Taycan still seems to be connected to my app despite this having long since been returned to the dealership. For now, I’m just going to sit tight. I’d rather be patient than give the buggy Porsche software any more reason to be error prone.
