Driver side window won't roll down.

I shut my driver side door and heard a crack, like something was caught between the panels. I looked around and saw nothing wrong, so I carried on.

A few minutes later when I was driving back home, I tried to roll the window down. It stayed in place. The motor made a louder whine, so it sounds like it is trying to move but something is stuck.

I want to check a few things before I book a garage visit.

Found the issue the bowden cable connected to the motor snapped.

Any update on that? Fix it yourself, used warrantee, etc?
