Easily scratched side windows….

Anyone else noticed how easily the side windows scratch ?
A piece of grit appeares to have got lodged in the bottom rubber seal and has reaped havoc as the window rolls up and down to make a visibly prominent and finger nail detectable track. (not tinted glas btw).
I’ll try for a warranty replace request at the next service recall……

Sand will scratch any glass up to around 9 Mohs. At that point your glass is made entirely of sapphire and be extremely expensive. You'll most likely be able to get them to open the door up and clean it out, maybe replace some seals, but I doubt* you'll get it fixed on warranty.


* Porsche's service is excellent and they might just do it -- they've done so much for me and I hope they will for you too despite this not sounding like a warranty issue at all. Just an accident.
