After over 3 years of usage I can tell you MyPorsche app routinely lies, especially since Porsche changed to displaying a "digital twin" status instead of real time status. It shows the status of the virtual car in the cloud, and that virtual car syncs up with the real car. "Just updated" means the app synced with the state of the digital twin, not actually your car (the status of that sync is not shown in the app anywhere). That synchronization sometimes breaks, which is especially evident if the app shows "just updated" status showing my car 20 miles away (where it was half an hour ago), sometimes showing climate control permanently on (which it's not). The window open algorithm is also flawed, though I must admit they've improved it a bit over last 3 years - nowadays if I can get the car to actually sync up, it mostly shows the correct "windows closed". That said, sometimes when the door is opened, the door open and window open status gets synced, then when door closes only door closed status is synced, window closed comes a few seconds later, so if the sync breaks between the two events, the car is stuck showing doors closed but window open.
One trick I sometimes use to force the sync is use the app to flash the lights, it force wakes the car to receive the command, which sync up the status. Doesn't always work, but sometimes it does.
Also, I find that sometimes the sync breaks every day, for a week, two or three, then it's all better for a few weeks. I don't know if it's Porsche's "continuing software integration" process for their cloud software resulting in varying quality of deployed software, or does it just need a restart every week or two, but sometimes they forget to restart.
Last but not least, if window persistently shows as open, actually open and close the window, or the corresponding door, or both, while the car is ON.
