I just got my brand new 2022 Taycan for two weeks and it starts to pop up several warning messages as below.
  • Limited power steering
  • LCA assist is not working
  • Headlight control error
  • Brake assist error
After sending back the car to Porsche service, they identify it as electric steering rack issue and this part need to be replaced with a new one. Does anyone has similar issue on Taycan? It's hard to believe that brand new car will have such issue in less than two weeks.

This doesn't sound good at all and I wonder if the dealer did a full and complete PDI.

None of these issues would just appear out of the blue to my mind.

Both the headlight and brake assist errors I've had once before and cleared on next start up. The headlight error occurred after a high speed (Ionity) charging session.

Cars are delivered in Transport Mode and then go through PDI. A couple of people on the forum discovered that their cars were never taken out of this mode which manifested in several features not working and random issues.

It's worth challenging the dealer to evidence that they have done their job correctly.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll definitely challenge them once the fix is done.

Dear gcrich1216, Did you get this problem resolved, and if so how, please? I keep getting these same errors, and the problem was not fixed the first time I took it in for service. Thank you.

Yes. This problem is resolved by local dealer.

I think I just saw all the same issues on a new 2024 GTS - just 150 miles. I took a picture of the limited power steering fault and then 4-5 more came up in succession. I assume the errors are saved in the messages somewhere.

Also, tried to restart/reboot PCM as I saw in multiple YT videos - two fingers in top right of screen. Nothing happened...

Welcome to the world of EVs - big computers on wheels =)

Tbf electric power steering and PCM issues are not distinct to EVs.
