I finally managed to get curb rash on the driver side wheels this week after months of ownership. This was in pretty low speed getting into a parking lot so the rashes are not that severe. However, since then the steering feel doesnt seem to be the same. Dont know if thats just the figment of my imagination. I am getting my car into dealership to fix the rashes, anything else I should ask them to take a look at? Thanks!

Consider having your wheel alignment checked since you'll be bringing your car in for repair. No use in prematurely wearing out a good set of tires if there's an alignment issue.

Steering feels a bit softer/lighter than before.
Maybe it's in your head or maybe it's something else but I doubt it was the rash.

Like @Archimedes stated, you would have had to hit the curb very hard and you'd probably have bent the rim if that was the case.

Probably in your head as wheels on the car take far more abuse than curb rash. Just imagine forces on the suspension with a 2.5 ton car going over speed bumps or pot holes at speed.

Also the dealer will almost certainly outsource fixing your curbs rash to a 3rd party shop and charge you a hefty premium. Curb rash is incredibly easy to fix (on most rims) so you'll get a far better deal if you just take it to an alloy repair specialist yourself. Shouldn't cost more than 200 USD or so depending on your rim.

Yeah, likely in my head. I had taken the tire and wheel coverage, which I believe should cover up to 8 curb rash fixes. If not, I will definitely have it fixed elsewhere.
