Turismo Tailgate Catches on roof when opening!

Wow that’s really bad, especially as you’ve always told them of an issue, sorry that happened to you.

Mine had a rubbing noise on tail gate opening and went in for checks, along with another issue to fix. They said they fixed this by re-lubrication and it hasn’t happened since. No idea of that really was the fix, although the dealer said they had seen it before.

It’s not the dealerships fault and must be a known issue at Porsche. I think they’ll get it sorted for me. They’ve been really good so far. It also helps that I reported the issue a month before it ended up smashing the roof.
I’m taking it in tomorrow to see what they can do for me, in terms of repair time and courtesy car.

it’s a pain in the bum all the faffing and obviously it will tarnish my experience of owning the car going forward.

I’ve got plenty of videos of it catching pre smash and a video of it catching after it smashed the roof.

it’s 100% a warrenty claim as the car is only 4 months old and immaculate other than this.

Porsche have just picked it up. When the guy opened the boot to look for the towing hook the roof got even worse.

I hope they don't park the car outside in the rain.
