FYI - I placed an order for an Andersen A2 on 18th Jan and completed the home self-survey on the same day.
After 10 days of radio silence I asked someone from customer service and they said they were looking at surveys with a 2 week lag and indeed, got my survey approved on 31st Jan.

Now waiting for an installation slot. They confirmed the whole thing shouldn’t exceed 7 weeks, but also that your install needs to be completed before 31st March to claim the £350 grant, otherwise they’ll ask you for further payment.

When I was enquiring about other chargers, all offers were bound to end in March too.

All you need is an order form for an EV to claim up to 2 charging points.

I hadn't realised the EVSE grant was coming to an end for any installations after 31st March 2022.

Just FYI...

Thanks for posting- I was going to start a thread on this but Googled it first as I hoped that someone had beaten me to it.
Having just been advised of an April build for my vehicle, I'm glad I contacted the charger installers right away because I too wasn't aware of the grant deadline and was advised to complete my site survey today to ensure they can do it in time. Perhaps the grant scheme (in some form) gets renewed every April? Anyway, I'm not taking any chances.

Was cheaper to buy a couple of chargers and just get my electrician to install than go through the scheme anyway, the scheme wont be a great loss. The same for the 10 chargers I put into my factory for staff to use.

It can sometimes work out cheaper buying your "charging" point and paying your own contractor to have it installed. Maybe not with the Anderson. I'm buying a Zappi and having it installed next week. Have you costed both options?
The big question for me now is should I stay on the Ocopus tariff I'm currently on or change to have cheap charging for the standard 4 hours in the early hours. with the new tariff my daily kw rate will increase from 19.8p/kw hour to 30.8p kw/hour? Apologies for throwing this into the charger thread.

There is another thread knocking about with Octopus tariffs on it.

Interesting to hear what your new rates are.
