I am trying to fix a problem with the PCM but before I take it to the dealer I wanted to try one last thing. Before doing this so as to not create additional problems or too much additional work, does anyone know what happens if

1. you reset the the system settings to Factory settings

2. you delete your profile and then add it back

Either something is not loading properly or something got corrupted.

I did a full PCM reset which removes your personal stuff from the PCM allowing you to start over as if configuring for the first time.

Your Porsche Connect ID remains intact and several of your settings (comfort settings) are held in the cloud with your ID and are restored also.

You will need to relink your Apple ID and various PCM customisations such as My Screen but overall the process was painless.

Remember you'll need to disable privacy mode per account once reset and add any secondary Porsche ID you have.

PSA - if factory reset times out and fails (takes 3-4 minutes for it to fail), try disconnecting the 12V battery for 60 seconds then re-connecting it. This will restart everything. Factory reset should then succeed.

Make sure you have cellular coverage when you do this, and if your OTA module is bad, this process will result in you losing your Porsche ID and related services in the car. If your car's SOC and mileage are correctly updating on the Connect App or Porsche website, then your OTA module is good.
