Comfort Access Question switching and driver settings

Preparing myself for delivery…with regards Comfort Access. I assume that each key can have a profile eg the seat position, drive modes etc.?

if my assumption is correct - my wife picks me up from the airport and of course I want to drive home. How to switch the profile? Is it as simple as lock then unlock with my key. Is this straight forward with both key fobs in proximity to the car?

With regards to driver settings, what options can be set to the key fob/ profile in use.

Any other tips most welcome.

When you want to switch profiles, you just tap on the upper right corner person icon, and switch profiles. Seats, mirrors, and favorites will change.

While my spouse almost never drives the car, I have switched keys on a couple of occasions and not noticed that the profile is strongly attached to the key. It's kind of hit and miss.

This is one more place where Porsche's SW needs to improve. Every time I get in the car with my key it should automatically change to my profile and the same with my wife and her key. I find it works once in a while but not consistently.

Once they get that working, they should include a lot more things in your profile settings (like if you want the fake sound, you drive mode, suspension, etc).

Problem with tapping on the screen once in is that I’m 6’3” 190cm and i’d prob have difficulty getting into the car after a much shorter wife having driven it with her settings. dont suppose theres a quick drivers seat move button accesible before sitting in the car?

It may help if you can get your wife in the habit of locking the car when she exits. Most of the time it seems that works for us...though if there's just a couple minutes between driver changes, it seems to not work.

Do you have the driver memory package? If you have your settings stored in #1 and your wife's in #2, you can tap (and hold) #1 before actually sitting in the car to set the seat position to your settings.

Why you have to hold it sometimes is beyond me. Sometimes it works with a tap, sometimes you have to tap and hold.

Works well in my experience.

Create 2 Porsche Connect IDs - primary and secondary.

Avoid having both keys present in the car as key nearest will take priority and load the profile associated with it as you approach the car. Car may remain powered on due to the presence of the other key.

Tap the unlock button while approaching to force the profile associated with that key.

If wrong profile has been loaded when in the car, tap the profile name on the PCM and select the correct profile.

Use one of the memory buttons on the door to store your settings should you use the wrong key as a bsck-up.

Seat, steering wheel, AC, Media, PCM My Home screen and Favourites are loaded automatically. I suspect HUD settings will be saved too.

Auto power on when driver's door is closed after unlocking.

Drive modes, chassis settings, and electric sport sound are not - car always powers up in Normal Drive mode.

Various configurable options for door unlocking and rear trunk gesture control.

Yes.
I can’t get into a car my wife has just driven so I get to know quickly.

I used to speculate on how angry I’d be if the electric seats failed and the car became undriveable for me simply because I couldn’t get in it because my wife drove it last.

OTOH it has not been problem in the Taycan because it is “stupidly big” and she won’t drive it at all!
