My 2020 4S has cooling / heated seats. Somehow I have stored seat cooling on both drivers and passenger seats. This is activated every time I unlock my car. I've tried for months to deactivate the seat cooling and have been unable to do so. It's one of the comfort settings that gets stored in my user profile. Anyone have any ideas on how I can eliminate the seat cooling?

Have you deselected the option to start precooling/heating upon unlocking the car remotely? It’s in the PCM under the climate app’s preheating/cooling section.

I had the same issue and had my temp set at 65 all summer. Couldn’t get it to stop upon entry other than to turn off the precool/heat option. However, when I moved the temp to 72 and turned the function back on, the seat cooling did not come on anymore. Don’t know if it’s triggered by a AC temp or not. I actually want it now to turn on the seat heaters for the winter months. Will do some testing as it gets cooler.

Thanks for the info. It'll give me a few things to try. Let me know how your changes make out and I'll do the same.

Update - it was 50 degrees this morning, had my internal temp set on 72. When I opened up the car, the seat heaters turned on automatically. And not only that, but it stared them at level 2 then dropped to level 1, which I have never happen before. It's the first time that it has ever turned on the seat heaters automatically. Can't find anything in the Good to Know app or anything online about what would trigger this. Anyway, when I told my wife I had an update, she said (without looking up from whatever she was reading) "fascinating"......I have to find a new hobby.

Check the option in the PCM - to stop the precool / heat with remote unlocking be sure to disable this function as it could be on by default.

Yep - have this set but (and maybe I'm missing it) but how does this affect the seat heaters and A/C? All summer both driver and passenger seats clicked on the A/C. Assuming that it enables the vents and seats? But then today, it clicked on the heaters. I don't mind but just one of those weird but good quirks.

If the internal temp is above the preset preheat / precool then the car will decide when to activate or not. If the temp drops and the preheat is set to be warmer and the option selected in PCM when unlocking then naturally the function will trigger. Your AC and seat heaters will turn on to reach the temp set.

Try unticking the option. Lock the car, open and pre-heat should not start (there is also a symbol on the top right of the digital cockpit to indicate preheat / cool is in operation.

Great - I didn't realize the seats were part of that. Thank you for the explanation! I prefer the seats on so it's a perfect setting for me.
