    718/983 Cayman & Boxster Leaks & confirmed features

    There's an awful lot of "information" on the Porsche Minneapolis site. Claims "arriving late 2026" as a 2027 model. I see the other linked site has been taken down already. I've copied the info from the MSP Porsche site, for future comparison against reality, or to archive it if it disappears.

    718/983 Cayman & Boxster Leaks & confirmed features

    I'd have expected Porsche to make an announcement by now if this were going to be a 2027 model. I'm beginning to think the EV Cayman will be released when nuclear fusion is powering our homes.

    EV throttle response

    Be thankful you don’t have a Turbo or Turbo S model, because then you’ll have turbo lag in addition to the throttle unresponsive ness. 😂

    2027 Taycan gets E-Shift, larger battery and much more - new model year!

    Yes...but is it 5x faster at connecting to my wife's phone, and setup preferences, when my keyfob is the only one in the car? :rolleyes:

    Locked key inside car

    This is one of a handful of minor annoyances I have with our Taycan. My 2016 Chevy automatically locks/unlocks when the fob leaves/arrives, yet our seven years newer Porsche can't do this basic thing. Our Audi e-tron (SUV) also can't perform this basic function. And yes...retracting the...

    2027 Taycan gets E-Shift, larger battery and much more - new model year!

    The sound clip included at that link sounds pretty good, IMO, though I've come to mostly prefer near-silence when driving.

    EVs = passenger motion sickness

    I've found passengers don't get sick when I don't engage "bat shit crazy" mode.

    Successful Matrix headlight activation for US Taycan

    It's nice to read this is now available for us in the US. I'll have to wait until the side marker light issue is resolved, due to the chance the car won't pass a local safety inspection if they don't illuminate.

    That fun sure didn't last long... totaled Taycan Turbo GT on Copart with just 1,322 miles

    We have an entire generation of drivers...maybe two now, who've never driven any car...even one as mind-numbingly sedate as a Honda Civic...without traction control available to intervene when the driver's inattentiveness, deficit of common sense, or lack of physics education presents itself at...

    Audi Concept C EV revealed - thoughts?

    Motor Trend reports an Audi engineer mentioned "over 500 horsepower" for the RWD Concept C. If true, it bodes well for those of us concerned about lackluster TT-level performance. https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/audi-concept-c-first-drive-review?id=applenews
