Excellent write-up thanks. I've gone for an ST but a fairly similar technical specification to yours. On my Silverstone day I did a lot of u-turns and you could definitely feel the RAS working at low speeds. At higher speeds I think it's just part of how the car works. It sounds like the car is fitting in to your life well, so I'm looking forward to mine coming as I have a feeling it might do the same. I did try quite a few launches in it at the track day, but on the track itself hitting full throttle was even quite hard to do just due to lack of room!

I love how cars always get almost to feeling 'slow'. My C63 got to the point where launching it wasn't very much fun as I was like 'meh'. Mind, the RS3 never got like that :CWL:

Enjoy the car and those lovely roads. I might have to do some road tripping and seek some out as most are either not nice scenery near me, or very crowded!

Week 10 and I'm still loving it! :D
I hope you're taking those trips soon.
I got my first road atlas in years...2.5 mls per inch- just to highlight it with the best and worst minor roads I'm discovering (or rediscovering in a new light). The one negative I'm noticing is the width of the car really slows me up (sometimes averaging 20mph over 10 miles in a 60 zone) on some nice winding but narrow roads, as I'm having to anticipate needing to pull right up against soft verges and overgrown hedgerows should I encounter another vehicle. I might try some of them again when it's dark by early evening.

Weirdly I was thinking of doing similar. I might take a trip up to Bonny Scotland at some point, except I'll have to find someone to come with me, as my wife doesn't like 'spirited' driving and my best mates is horrendous as a passenger!

All my fun runs out have been solo- I don't think even I'd like to be a passenger on them. I'm thinking any trips staying away from home are going to need me to plan some activities for wife & our dog to keep them amused while I go off for a short local tour. As long as I get some fun miles, I don't mind more sedate driving especially when it allows me to better appreciate the scenery.

Maybe that's the way to go ?
