Front license plate?

I worry about getting pulled over for no front license plate. My kids are happy to assuage my fears by counting the cars that pass us, in the opposite directio, that don’t have them. In northern CA it’s almost every Tesla and then some.

I bought the only CA legal wrap plate but I can’t put it on…it almost looks worse than a regular plate. Plus, love this, police might regularly pull you over because it’s not a “real” plate…not all law enforcement agencies are up to date with the wrap plate program. “Just keep the paperwork, we sent with the plate, and show it to them.”

it’s still in my hatch, I’ve not put it on for over 18 months. I kept the “new car” windshield envelop on (the windshield where else) and assume that anyone coming towards me will see the windshield pouch and assume no plate+windshield pouch=“new car” so no need to pull me over. ?

I’ve run without a front plate for 20 years in San Francisco. The only time you’re going to be ticketed is when you’re parked on the street—meter maids are the ones to watch out for. I’ve always used a front plate mount that can be easily attached and removed for that purpose. If you get a ticket, it’s a fix-it which only costs $20 once it’s signed off by a police officer. I’ve only ever been pulled over once by a cop in 20 years…and I asked if he could sign off on the same ticket if I pulled it out of my trunk, which he did!

So I wouldn’t be too stressed about it ?

I haven't tried using the tow hoot mounts on the Taycan, but have used these on Cayennes in the past and did run into some issues. I used this https://stonsho.com/collections/taycan on mine and highly recommend it.

I had one. Worked great until pulling into a parking lot where it bottomed out. Pull the mounts out of the underside of the bumper. Now using Rho, which hooks to tow hook socket.
