Can anyone enlighten me on the insides of a Taycan multi-function GT steering wheel?
I have a MY2023 GTS with a race-tex wheel which I don't like - so I've sourced a similar leather wheel from ebay (dated 2020) but the insides are different. In the pics here of the older, donor wheel I see the module ringed in red (p/n 9J1.959.256) in both wheels but the one I've marked in yellow (p/n 9J1.959.257) only exists in the older/donor wheel - anyone know what this is? It connects to the clock spring connector and has blue and white wires but I can't see where they go.
I did try fitting the donor wheel as-is, with these modules in place - most things work fine but the car throws an Active Lane Keeping fault which goes away when I revert back to the original wheel. I probably need to switch the wiring and control module over, too, but I'd like to understand what's what. Also, I don't see how to (easily) get the extra box out (screwed in from the back?).
Any help appreciated - thanks.
