Currently in Croatia near Trogir, 4 hours from the nearest OPC, I clipped a rock at low speed on our drive which has detached the lower spoiler lip which I have clipped back, but it's pushed back the wheel arch liner. The fan (right hand side) is making a racket, it's hitting something, noise is reduced if I push on the liner. I am armed with duct tape, cable ties (no I'm not abducting someone) and general DIY tools. Need to lash it up well enought to get back to the UK next week.

Any tips (apart from avoiding rocks)?

Update: I've partly undone the wheel arch liner and can see the bottom of the radiator has taken a whack and is pushed back towards the wheel. If I shove it forwards the fan stops making the noise. Looks like it's going to be expensive. I'm going to try and pull it forwards and fix with cable ties as a temp fix otherwise it's going to be Porsche assist in a foreign country, not sure how that's going to work.

Radiator guards are my recent insurance policy against this.

they look nice although in my case it wouldn't have helped because it was the underside that got damaged. Hoping my temporary fix lasts the 2000km journey home ?

Looks well. Is there a post about that?
Yes, it's in the modifications section with photos.

Yes, they certainly won't help in all situations and sorry for your circumstances leading to the damage. Hopefully the permanent fix goes well for you.
