HVAC fan noise - is this normal?

Hello all,

I've recently become a Taycan CT 4S owner a couple of months ago. I purchased used from a OPC, and I love it!

However, recently there's this noise that is tied to the fan speed of the climate control.

It's really annoying. I'm assuming it's something that's restricting the fan, but I wanted to sense check before I take it into Porsche.

Anyone experienced something similar?

it's normal, the air filter is in the footwell on the passenger side.

Yes, fans and vents do make noise at higher speeds.

I would check your cabin filter. I replace mine every 6 months. If yours is in bad shape that would put a lot of load on the fan. I do find the sound not to be normal as I do not really hear my fan, but I use mine always in Auto mode.

i agree with the others, not typical, and most likly be a cabin airfilter issue, it's either clogger or not seal correctly after replacement.

Update: Took the air filter out and the fan is still making the noise, so I guess it's off to Porsche I go!

Further update. Turned out it was a leaf stuck deep inside the blower assembly. And all it took was a £303 diagnostic fee....
