Why, via courier in an enormous package, of course!

That contains a tiny windscreen sticker.

Less than 24 hours turn around time though from Switzerland to Ireland. Quite impressive.

One carrier, one tracking system. Post offices from different countries don’t always play well together.

Swiss Post.
You could have entered Switzerland and bought it pretty much anywhere but I admit shipping it is fancier. :)
I know, but I hate hunting around for something like that first thing. I thought the same about Austria. Went into loads of shops and petrol stations near the border between Italy and nobody was selling them.

Most Austrian's buy them digitally – no longer need to put anything on your windscreens – but due to "consumer protection laws" in Austria – you have to buy them online at least 18 days before you can use it!

Was a right pain hunting one down – but appreciate they are easy to buy in person in Switzerland.

just joking on my end. yes, easy to buy in CH, manned borders will all have them plus all gas stations etc. CH is slowly moving to a digital option too. If you want to remove it at some point use a hot air and a thin blade (else it breaks in a 1 mln tiny pieces which will stick everywhere across the car dash)

I am traveling to Switzerland Italië and Austria next week. I was just in time for the 10 days digital Austrian one. I have already used it in the past for the Brenner pass and Arlberg tunnel, works really well. That one you can buy the same day. The Swiss I also ordered by mail. Easier and faster than buying at the border crossing in Basel.

And then I have the the Crit’air for visiting Paris and the Unweltzonesticker for major German cities. If I visit anymore countries I can’t see out of my window anymore. Good move from Austria.

And the French Bip and Go toll badge but that his hidden behind my mirror.Got annex one that also works in Italy Portugal and Spain.

We must have similar looking windscreens!

Haha. Yes. I don’t have the booklet what was that for? Your wife must be happy you put everything on her side.

Autistic me would have put the French one a bit more in the middle and straight.

The white square disk is proof of Irish (EU wide) insurance and the circular orange-y disk is Irish public road tax*. Most countries have gone digital with these but every car in Ireland must display those two.

Additionally when a car reaches 4 years old – it has to do a roadworthiness test and that too is another large disk on the screen.

* Similar to a vignette but required on every car regardless of what kind of road you drive on. It is paid on basis of CO2 emissions and is €120/year for EV's but goes up to €2400/year for a car that emits 226g/CO2 like a basic 911.

They really like putting disks on your windscreen in Ireland. Would be good to have it digital in the future.
