Insurance for tracking Taycan in US?

I was curious about taking my Taycan either on a drag strip or a track, until I read that State Farm doesn’t insure you when you’re on the track. That kinda scares me… those that track their Taycan - do you get special insurance? Is there an upgraded policy that lets you do this? Would love some input!

when I track my GT3, I use these guys and have had a good experience. You basically choose the amount of coverage and even to account for mods, etc, and choose the specific dates of coverage and track day event/venue.

There are a few others like Hagerty and Opentrack , but for the last few years, I’ve received the best rate quotes from lockton for my needs, and they’ve been around for a while specializing in track day insurance, so I’ve stuck with them. Have a had a couple friends make claims with no issues, but luckily I haven‘t had to make any claims yet (knock on wood).

For sure your regular insurance won't cover you. When looking to chance insurance companies, I once called Amica and asked, "If I attend a driver's education day at the local track, would I be covered?" A week later I received a letter saying they were denying me coverage because I have an "interest in high performance driving."

IMO, you don't want to go on the track without track specific coverage.

Use either Lockton or Hagerty track day insurance.
