Is the extended warranty on CPO better than a new warranty?

I am waiting for a RWD Taycan that's supposed to be ship to me in Califronia at the end of Oct. The dealer took a deposit and said it's refundable because he woudl have no trouble selling it. I was able to get it because someone cancelled purchasing it.

It's been delayed twice. I have been looking at CPO 4S due to increased performance and the air suspension.

My concern is some of these are less than 2 years old with less the 5000 miles and a 2 owners. Did they end their lease prematurely? Aren't leases usually 3 years?

Also some of these have CPO warranty until 2027. Does that mean the CPO has a better and longer warranty than a brand new Taycan?

Also what happens if one of these CPO is a lemon? Would I have any recourse?

Thanks.

The CPO warranty is "better" in terms of years covered. If you purchased "new" and the vehicle came with CPO warranty (mine did), you would likely still be covered by your state's Lemon Law.

Mine was new, never titled, but was driven for awhile by a Porsche exec, so the Porsche Wilmington offered it with a CPO warranty.
