No as I mentioned in the post in brackets it extends your factory by 5 years.

That's the part that was confusing. The manufaturer warranty is 4yr/50k miles so if you got a 8yr extended warranty then it's a 4yr extended right?

Sorry - my bad - will go back and correct that - indeed New Car limited warranty 4 yrs, replacement parts/accessories 2 yrs.

I had 3 yrs in my head as I was recently chatting re Soh and warranty periods which is if it drops below 80% Soh in 3 years!
